Are you sick of eating some variation of eggs, meat, and fruit for breakfast? Well here’s a great alternative!
Both of the Pictures & this recipe (modified slightly) were found here: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/no-oat-oatmeal-its-no-atmeal/
This recipe yields TWO meals.
- 24 g walnuts
- 24 g Pecans
- 2 tbsp Flaxseed Ground
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ginger, Ground
- 1 tbsp Almond Butter
- 1 small banana (100g)
- 3 Omega-3 eggs
- 1/4 cup Organic Light Coconut Milk
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Seeds
Add walnuts, pecans, flax seed and spices to a food processor and pulse it down to a course grain, making sure to stop before it’s totally ground into a powder. Set aside.
Whisk together eggs and coconut milk until the consistency thickens a little bit into a loose custard. Thoroughly blend together the mashed banana and almond butter and add it to the custard, mixing well.
Stir in the nut mixture. Microwave or gently warm on the stove until the “no-atmeal” reaches your desired consistency; this should only take a few minutes. In both cases, stir the mixture frequently as it cooks.
Sprinkle pumpkin seeds and berries on top.

For higher protein “oatmeal” stir in a little protein powder (cinamon roll flavor would be yummy!)
