Everyone has their opinion on what Healthy means to them. 6 months ago, if you asked me how to get healthy, I would tell you to run. But the truth is, it’s more than that. I could diet, and lose weight, but looking back, was I healthy? Today, I could answer that with a simple answer. NO!
I have always known about Crossfit, and then a friend of mine came and told me about this crossfit place opening up in Calallen. Honestly speaking, I was a little nervous and reluctant to go. Trying it was not the problem, I knew what I was in for, but would I be able to do it? The last time, I was in GOOD SHAPE was 20 years ago when I was in high school. I went to the grand opening and I’m so glad I did.
In the last 6 months, since starting with Crossfit XLR8 II, I have gotten stronger, faster and have built up my endurance and continue to do all 3 every day. With the help of the coaches, I have changed how I eat and how I treat my body. I think one of my largest obstacles is taking Sundays off.
I want to thank all the Coaches that make their way to Calallen every day to share their motivation with us. Molly, Zeph, Greg, Jason, Josh, Jaime, and Brian…. You guys change people. Thank you for doing what you do!
I may not be there yet, but I am closer than I was yesterday.
