October Athlete of the Month: Audrey and Brian Hagemann

Audrey started Crossfit when Molly first opened at the community center. She would go to the 5:30 am class, and I would go jog 2 miles. We would talk about the workouts she did but I wasn’t interested in going. I saw how addicting it was becoming for her. I finally decided to give it a shot. That was May 2010. We would go 2-3 days a week. Since then we both have become addicted to Crossfit and now go 4-5 times a week. A couple of months ago, I was very disappointed with how the WOD went. On the way home, I told Audrey I had to change something. That same day Molly sent one of her emails. I don’t remember all that was in it, but what I do remember is that if you’re not happy with your results “stop eating crap”. That day (for the most part) we stopped eating crap. I’ve lost weight, no longer have to take Prilosec at night, my blood pressure is down without medication, and the WODs are getting better. We’re in the best shape we’ve ever been in and owe it to Crossfit. Thanks to all the coaches (except Zeph) – just kidding Zeph, you’re awesome.
